This workshop is a hands-on class that is designed for beginners who are new to using a sewing machine. Whether you’ve never touched a machine before or just need a refresher, this class will provide the foundational skills you need to start your sewing journey.

What You'll Learn:

  • Basic parts and functions of a sewing machine

  • How to thread the machine and wind a bobbin

  • Straight and zigzag stitching techniques

  • Sewing safety and maintenance

  • Creating your first basic project (e.g., tote bag, pillowcase, or apron)

What to Bring:

  • Your sewing machine (if you have one)*

  • Basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, thread, fabric if you have these items)

  • Notebook and pen for notes

*Machines will be available for use in class if you do not own one.
